Apples

With over one hundred varieties being grown at Harmony Acres, harvest extends from August to November. Our apple cultivars range from heirloom types that have been grown and propagated for centuries as well as some modern varieties that are known for their fine flavor and disease resistance. We also grow some varieties developed right here on our farm that are found nowhere else in the world. Some varieties are best used for delicious sauce or pies; others can be eaten fresh. Some have a short shelf life; others will keep and even improve in taste with storage. There are also about a dozen varieties of old French & English apples specially cultivated for cider.
